OUR HISTORY
We are a registered charity (number 506565) with an interesting history... Belper Musical Theatre was founded in 1975 by local residents who shared a love of amateur theatre, but who did not want to have to travel all the way to Derby to rehearse and perform. So, we were established then and have been growing stronger year on year.
A later, but incredibly important addition are our fabulous 'juniors'. These gifted young performers are the future of BMT and many of them have come through the ranks and have even taken on managing BJMT themselves.
We are immensely proud of our BMT family!
